Poll of Nation’s Best Food Trucks Includes 3 Veg Winners

cinnamon-snail-donutsAcross the country, food trucks are elevating cruelty-free eats with creative twists on traditional favorites — and their ingenuity is paying off. The Daily Meal, a popular food and drink website, recently ranked the nation’s 101 best food trucks for 2015, and three plant-strong purveyors made the cut.

Included in the list were the Vegan Food Truck in Chicago (#77), the vegetarian (and mostly vegan) Taïm Mobile in New York City (#36), and the vegan Cinnamon Snail in New Jersey (#4), under the talented leadership of Chef Adam Sobel. The winners were chosen via an online survey.

It’s worth noting that the Cinnamon Snail wasn’t included among the original options (namely because The Daily Meal believed they were closed, though we reported otherwise back in May). Fans clamored, however, and its name was added to the list. The Cinnamon Snail has actually made the top ten in The Daily Meal’s ranking for the past several years.

“I am so extra excited about this lovely news that I ran through a steel reinforced  concrete wall into a kiddy pool of warm vegan chocolate ganache,” Sobel told Latest Vegan News.

Congrats to these innovative culinarians for showing people the deliciousness of veggie-friendly food!
