VeganWALL Social Network Is Helping Vegans Find Each Other

veganwallIt’s not always easy being plant-based in a largely omnivorous world. Vegans can feel isolated and outnumbered when surrounded by meat-eating friends, family and co-workers.

Luckily, in the digital age there are more ways than ever to connect with like-minded folks, and VeganWALL is a new social network designed to help you do just that.

Launched in February of this year, the site offers a dazzling array of features, all catering specifically to a veg community. Users can post recipes, rate content, find vegans in their neighborhood, start discussions and much more.

“We see VW as the central point for everything vegan … a place where people can easily express (by creating content, sharing stories, recipes, reviews) and a tool to be used for daily needs (where to find the latest news, restaurants, recipes, discussions),” VeganWALL’s team tells Latest Vegan News.

The central point of VeganWALL is the wall itself—a section where any member of the community can post relevant, interesting info. The wall is built through “bricks”—various pieces of content. Once a brick is posted, fellow users can share, comment, discuss and rate. This past week, the most popular bricks included Miley’s vegan announcement, a QA with a vegan bodybuilder and an adorable YouTube animal video.

The site also features a series of communities revolving around specific topics. The most popular currently include Fashion Vegan, Stop Animal Abuse, Veg Humor and Vegan Athletes.

There are also dedicated sections for recipes, people (where users can search for fellow vegans within a particular geographic area) and places (restaurant listings). They’ve recently added 600+ new vegan and vegan-friendly spots, from Italy to the Middle East to the U.S. Members can also earn karma points and badges—from positioner to activist to reviewer—all based on their level of participation.

Basically, VeganWALL is the perfect place to hang out, online, when you need quality time with people who think the way you do. Because our numbers are growing, and we need to stick together.

The site is free to use and you can sign up at VeganWALL.com.
