Asheville’s Brother Wolf Animal Rescue Goes Vegan

Dogs, pigs, cows: they’re all sensitive, sentient beings, yet some sleep in our beds while others are occupying the meat aisle. More and more people and organizations are making the compassionate connection, however, and this includes Brother Wolf animal rescue out of Asheville, North Carolina.

Located in a notably vegan-friendly city, the no-kill animal rescue recently made the decision to ditch all animal products for its events and activities.

“At Brother Wolf we are committed to uncompromised compassion. As we look at what that means we can not leave out farmed animals from our circle of compassion,” a Brother Wolf representative told Latest Vegan News.

The organization was always vegetarian, but recently made the decision to go all the way. The group also hosted the city’s VeganFest back in August, which attracted several thousand attendees.

As one awesome animal rescue goes vegan, let’s hope all the others start to follow suit.
