Food Revolution Summit Kicks Off April 25

food-revolutionIf you’re into food news you can use, you’ll get all you could ask for April 25th through May 3 during the annual Food Revolution Summit.

During the nine day event, the legendary food author and activist John Robbins will interview 24 huge names in the world of plant-based eating, from Paul McCartney to Michael Pollan to Tony Robbins.

Each will speak to his or her specific expertise including factory farms and “ag-gag” laws, health dangers from animal products, the latest research on plant-based diets, the truth about GMOs and more.

Some of the revealing truths that’ll be discussed by these experts, as outlined by FoodRevolution.org, include:

  • Half of Americans who reach the age of 85 have Alzheimer’s, and studies say the S.A.D. (Standard American Diet) triples the risk.
  • Factory farms are hotbeds of antibiotic resistant bacteria that killed more than 23,000 people last year alone.
  • A healthy, plant-based diet can prevent and even reverse heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, memory loss, constipation, fatigue and certain forms of cancer.

“It’s time to rise up and demand change! This is why we’ve created this virtual summit,” says John Robbins. “We want to bring the most up-to-date research and information to you about food, nutrition, disease prevention and environmental stewardship. So you can get involved and do your part to be the change.”

Basically, it’s all the nutrition info you need in one easily accessible package. Plus, you can purchase unlimited access to the vids and play them back for your skeptical omnivore friends and family—because who wouldn’t take advice from Paul McCartney?

The Food Revolution Summit kicks off April 25. It’s free to watch three interviews each day of the summit. You can sign up online.
